What is BYOT?
BYOT is a remote support service where Global Networking Technologies works alongside your nominated onsite staff member or existing IT team.
We provide the specialist remote expertise.
Your team provides the onsite hands when needed.
This allows most issues to be diagnosed, managed, and resolved remotely, while still giving you a practical path for any onsite tasks such as checking cables, rebooting equipment, test calls, or confirming physical connectivity.
It is designed to reduce downtime, reduce cost, and remove the delays associated with waiting for traditional onsite service calls.

BYOT is ideal for organisations that already have Mitel or related communications infrastructure in place and want expert remote support without being locked into a traditional maintenance agreement.
Simple monthly support
BYOT is sold as a monthly service. You are not locked into a long-term contract, and you are not forced into a one-size-fits-all maintenance package. The service can be matched to your environment, your risk level, and your internal capability.
Support can be provided in several ways:
Option 1: BYOT with your existing SWA
If you already maintain your own Software Assurance or vendor support agreement, BYOT can operate alongside it.
We provide the technical assistance, fault diagnosis, configuration support, and remote expertise, while your existing SWA remains in place for software entitlements, vendor escalation, and eligible updates.

Option 2: BYOT with SWA included
Where suitable, Global Networking Technologies can include Software Assurance as part of your monthly support arrangement.
This gives you a more complete support model, combining remote technical expertise with the added protection of software coverage.

Step Option 3: BYOT without SWA
For customers who do not require or do not currently have Software Assurance, we can still provide remote support without SWA.
This is useful for organisations that want practical assistance, configuration support, fault investigation, and operational guidance, while keeping monthly costs controlled.

Hardware is available, but not bundled
BYOT is focused on software, configuration, diagnostics, and remote support.Hardware is not included in the monthly service. This keeps the support cost simple and avoids charging you for equipment you may never need.Where hardware is required, it can be quoted and supplied on demand. This may include replacement servers, phones, gateways, SBC-related equipment, recording components, or other voice infrastructure items.
